The Engine That Wasn't Seized
Customer concern: machine was not running correctly, then sounded metal-on-metal and locked up.
What was found: salt-water corrosion inside the jet pump pushed the wear ring into the impeller until the rotating assembly locked.
Why it mattered: once the pump was removed, the engine rotated freely and started normally.
Result: proper diagnosis prevented unnecessary engine work.
